My fuel pump died in my 97 GMC 1500 Ext. Cab 4x4 5.7 Litre. I replaced the pump made sure i had everyting tight\. Truck runs but i do not get the power i had before expecailly when i punch it i get a lot of rev but no power to go with it. Before the change when you punched you new it. Any ideas from any one

Hopefully you replaced the fuel filter with the pump replacement and if not I would just do that anyway.
A fuel pressure test might reveal a problem in that this seems to have happened with a pump failure, and when replaced now loss of power??
