Loosing brake fluid fast and cannot find leak

I have a 1993 Toyota corolla and yesterday while I was out driving I noticed that the brake pedal was going to the floor and then I finally lost the brakes and had to use the Emerg brake to get home. I looked at all the brake lines and all the calipers and I cannot find any leaks and the fluid reservoir is completely empty and if I add some to it and pump the brakes the fluid disappears and I had my dad check the lines and calipers as i was pumping the brakes and he could not see any leaks. Were can the brake fluid be going ?.

Remove the master cylinder and look in the power booster. If it is leaking out of the rear seal it can go into the power booster and will not leak outside where it can be seen. If the booster has fluid in it, you need to replace it.

So would I need to replace the booster or the Master cylinder.

well if the master cylinder is leaking out the rear seal into the power booster. then you need to replace both. the booster has a rubber diaphram and oil and rubber dont like eachother

Hi "upmaine" ! (shouldn't that be "downeast" ?
Get it up on a lift - Maine cars not unlike your southern neighbors in Mass will rust lines like nuts. It would more likely be along way towards rear where front wheels throw the salt underside or crossover at rear axle. You just might not see it easily if by chance it can spray a squirt straight down and know that brake fluid is quickly water soluable so it won't leave much evidence if wet or after rinsed with rain - whatever way it might get washed out.

I live 1/2 mile from the canadian border so I don't think that would be considered down east.
I did put the car on a lift and checked it from front to back and did not see any brake fluid. So tomorrow I will remove the master cylinder and see whats going on in there.

Never mind the "downeast" thing - it pertains to prevailing winds - nothing more really.
Ok: Just loosen the master from booster and if brake fluid shows between it and booster it can leak there and remain unseen but most will show as wetness underside and down boosters with brake fluid which is water soluable but would come right back with an active leak. Once too low, air may prohibit good brake pressures if in lines so may not squirt out so easily. That back seal can just be a passive leak - not involving pressure until level drops way too low and air pumps in lines.
The rust thing: It's where the car has been and used for most of its life that aggrevates body and underside stuff. Inland and away from highways use little or no road salts and cars fare much better. At the age anything is possible,
