93 Olds Ciera S 89K. Newer Moog ball joints are OK. I did notice that passenger side is a bit loose (in the knuckle). Pinch bolt is tight (w/o snapping it). Looks like the space in the knuckle is completely closed. Can I just use a new pinch bolt with some washers inside the space of the knuckle? Makes perfect back yard mechanic sense to me. Am I OK with this?

That means someone left it loose and it was driven that way. Now it has wallowed out the hole and you will likely have to replace the knuckle.
