Left turn signal in grand prix 2005 isn't working Sign In

2005
Pontiac
Grand Prix
3.8
150,000+ miles

It randomly stopped working one day when I turned the car on. The one in the front doesn't flash at all, and in the back, it blinks at a more rapid pace than the right turn signal does. At first, I thought the bulb needed to be replaced, so I purchased a new one and installed it. That, however, did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions as where I should go from here?

more then likely its the hazard switch your flasher is inside the hazard switch next time it acts up try playing the switch and see if it starts working again.

I just headed out to the car and popped the hazards switch on, and the light wouldn't switch on. I'm assuming that's not the problem. :/

And, it isn't sometimes working, sometimes not. It just has flat out not worked for the last two weeks.

You might be into wiring issues in the front.. If you have a test light put cable on ground and see if it flashes with signal on then put the cable on positive and put the probe on ground make sure you have good ground.. Unfortunately I do not have diagrams for this car to see how it's wired.

pretty likely going to be the multifunction switch, (fairly common problem) when its acting up slightly pull the lever toward you and wiggle it and see if it starts working,if it does repalce the switch but sit down when you ask the price..
