Leaking Rack and Pinion

I have a 1993 honda accord Lx with oil leaking from the driver side rack and pinion boot. The boot is split on the small end and looks like fluid has been leaking for a while. The steering is working good at this point and is not leaving a spot on the drive, and does not use much fluid. The car only has 100k miles on it. I have owned several accords with much higher mileage and never seen this problem. How involved is the job to remove and replace the rack and pinion with a rebuilt or used part? How much would this typically cost to have done at a garage? Thanks.

The book time on it is about 3.5 hours and it will require a wheel alignment when finished. You can shop around for prices on the rack but don't expect the discount parts prices if you buy it from a shop though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
