Jeep Cherokee runs rough hard start

1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 engine
Slow crank, engine had been running rough now dies after cranking. Is this a fuel pump problem or something else? Thanks in advance for any help.

You're not going to know the answer to that until you do some testing to find out.
Using a fuel pressure gauge is the only way to find out if you have a fuel pump problem.
