2002 GMC Sonoma 4.3L 100000 mi. I posted a couple days ago about a freeze plug leak. That was not the issue. I was told the intake needs replaced. How much should that cost?

What are your symptoms? External coolant leak? Or, leaking coolant into the engine? Upper or lower intake? It is very common, thanks to Dex-Cool, for these lower intake manifolds to leak coolant at the front or rear. But, I've never had to replace one. Loren SW Washington

External coolant leak. It's leaking from all over. I got a guy working on it now. NTB wanted 1500 to fix it. He's doing it for considerably less. You're saying Dex-Cool is bad? Should I discontinue using it?

Absolutely; Flush the system real good, then put in normal, green, anti-freeze. btw, it's about half the cost of Dex-Cool, too! Loren SW Washington
