Sign In My cyliner 1 was missfiring, I went to chang the spark plug and not knowing that the plug socket didnt have the rubber in it i broke the porclien,, my questions are 1). Is it safe to drive the car with 1/2 of the porclien missing ( will it ark and cause trouble ) 2). Sign In 1. The porcelin missing will cause drivability problems. It needs replaced. 2. As long as the plug is seated, there will be nothing fall into the cylinder. 3. Use a funnel and a shop vac to remove the broken pieces. Place hose into the wide end of funnel and use small end in plug hole.
