Hi Every1 My car is going for its MOT on Saturday but has already failed 3 tiems due to an imbalance in the brakes. I've had the shoes replaced and the mechanic gave me a read-out to say the problem was fixed but since I have had the work done the car makes a screeching noise mainly wen I turn right but goes apply when i apply the brakes, could any1 advise me on what the problem could be?? Thanks 4 all ur help

Hi to you too Just replacing linings is not a whole brake job if that's all that was done. Calipers, rotors serviced or replaced, flex hoses are all involved with proper braking action for disc brakes (fronts) and some rear drum should have wheel cyilinders checked, replaced and hardware replaced, service or replace drums also and any flex hoses in question. Parking brake is usually mechanical to just the rear wheel and can trick up uniform braking forces if not proper. The noise is typical of a wear sensor but you said they were just replaced?? They still need to be checked again (bent sensor or more problems) especially with the braking failure upon inspection, T
