Horn blows intermitantly Sign In

Good Day to you. I have a 1994 Buick Lasabre Limited. The engine is a V6. The problem I'm having is the Horn.
While driving the car,all of a sudden the horns start sounding off and won't quit unless I kill the engine. I tried a new horn relay, Same problem. Could it have something to do with the horns them selves or is it the horn button in the airbag. I'm at a complete loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, sometimes when I'm driving everything seems OK. It seems to be an intermetent problem.
Thanks for your help!! Rhutch

Re: Horn blows intermitantly Sign In

Most of the time when that happens it's caused by the horn switch in the air bag. There is foam that keeps the contacts separated and the foam deteriorates over time causing the switch contacts to touch each other. You likely going to have to either replace the air bag or remove the horn relay but the law says you need to have a horn.
Some switches are sold separately but most are sold with the air bag.
