Honda 07 alarm and aftermarket remote starter Login - Sign Up

Hi There,

07 Honda odessy alarm goes ON when I try to remote start the car. I need to press the keyless entry remote unlock key which came with car. The remote start is aftermarket and it is 3 years old. What must be going wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Did you have this remote starter on the vehicle for 3 years and it work fine and just recently started giving you problems? Or did you just install this 3 year old system and are having the alarm problem?

Ok...I'd probably start with the easy stuff 1st. Go the manufacturers website, select your model & check the FAQs to see if this is a common problem. Then call the company that sold it & did the install for the same reasons.... If it comes down to having to take it in I would check all the basics 1st. Get a test light and check all the fuses, take down the hush panel and look at the wiring harness of the remote starter for any obvious signs of broken or loose wires. Make sure nothing has change with the factory stuff on the car, no doors closed that say they are open, no problems with the ign switch, that kind of stuff, rule out the easy stuff 1st...
