Help with headlights of 93 chevy pickup

Ok, when my lights are on the front left light works fine, but the right light stays dim. It is on, but just dim, not enough to be legal on the road. At the same time the right light is dim, the right blinker light on the inside stays lit up. I cant use my right blinker for it just makes the headlight change lighting a bit. If anyone can help me with this problem it would be great appreciated. i cant seem to figure it out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Im thinking bad ground or contact...something...

You on track with the thinking that the problem is a ground issue. You’re going to want to trace the black wire from the headlight back to where it’s bolted to the right inner fender near the battery. This is the main ground connection for all the lights on the right side. You’ll either find a single wire that is bolted there or several depending on whether they used a slice inside the wiring harness. If it is just a single wire at the fender open up the harness and find the splice where all the grounds (6 or more) are gathered and connected together. Take it all apart clean the terminal(s) and then refasten it to the fender; they usually use a sheet metal self-tapping bolt. If this bolt is stripped out and won’t tighten; drill a new hole a little smaller next to the existing. You’ll know when it’s tight enough when you cannot move the wire terminal under the bolt; don’t be shy pull and twist on the terminal with all you have it has to be tight.
Why the dash light is coming on is because the headlight is looking for a path to ground and is finding it through the turn/parking light bulb and its circuit.
Why the headlight is dim is because of the voltage drop across the turn/parking bulb’s filaments.
