OK..hi guys I am totally new here and have looked everywhere and found you. I am so hoping for some sort of input. My local garage has no idea what is going on.

I have a Chrysler Voyager SE 2.0
Date of Registration is March 98
Mileage approx 156000

I bought this car off ebay and it worked fine for one day. The next day I tried to start it and it would not work. We got it jump started and it was fine. I took it to the local garage who sold us a new battery. It was fine again with starting and I did not drive it for 2 days. Then the next time I got in to start it it would not work. We have now bought a car booster to carry with us all the time in case this happens again. It did. It is a daily procedure to jump start my car. In the summer it even has to be jump started after parking for 2 hours.
My car has other problems such as a slow oil leak and the AC and other lights on the middle consul keep blinking...but I have no idea what is causing the no start problem.

Please help with any sort of info so I can take this info back to the garage to point them in the right direction.

Going off what you posted. 2 things come to mind. You either have a parasitic draw on the system (a big one if it's killing the battery in 2 hrs) or you have a battery with a weak cell

Both of these are pretty basic tests and the shop should be looking for this if you tell them the same thing you posted here. This is pretty basic so you really shouldn't have to tell them this, I'm sure they already know what to look for...

The only question you really need to ask after giving them all the info is........... Why?

Why does my van need to be jump started all the time? If they can't answer or fix that then it might be a good idea to find a shop that can, maybe on that specializes in electrical work. It might be a little more expensive up front but definitely cheaper in the long run....

The battery is brand new...

Well today my car has pretty much died on me in the middle of driving the car. It started fine today....it had a long drive from the day before..which has been normal...such a moody car.

The radio kept turning off every time you would use the brake or the clutch....and then switch back on again. The air conditioner was not working at full power, just a weak wind that was not getting cold...so we left the windows open. Then we parked for about 20 minutes. We had to booster it on. We drove on got stuck behind a learner...the car started to overheat...and then you could see the speedometer and co. doing a little dance..up and down and off and back on again ....and then nothing. The car would sputter and backfire and finally moved on. We got stuck driving up a ramp...but made it up with the help of lots of revs and the hand break....it died just steering into a parking space. We were miles from home and so we had to boost it one more time to get it back. It died again ,or shall I say cut off all power....as we had to go slowly up a 20% hill on the way home... Even the hazard lights did not work. One more boost and we made it home stuttering and praying.

The garage does not have time to see us until Tuesday...he said it sounds like the alternator is the problem.
I will see what that is going to cost us.
Husband said he would build it in to save some of the money(he builds them in MOD boats twice that size)....

Does that sound about right to you?? Alternator?

sorry for the novel...but I am a female and can not keep it to a minimum story. I was in shock to say the least at what happened today.
