Help getting ready to take car to mechanic. Sign In

2006 Nissan Pathfinder se sports
Car has been telling me somethings wrong, but I don't know what it could be. 2 months ago, I paid to have spark plugs and coil packs replaced after a misfire on cylinder 1 after that I let it sit thought it was good than took it on another trip last month and it stalled on me and had to pull on the side of the highway i was able to get it going again by unhooking the battery and bolting it back on only did this because I was stuck on the side of the road and didn't have money to get it towed but after I did that I couldn't go past 30 mph without it stalling I been letting it sit since. I'm finally catching up on bills and trying to save up money after a loss in the family. finally saved up though to get it to the shop. If u got anything I can tell the mechanic or suggestions, please let me know.

The only thing you need to tell the mechanic are the symptoms you experienced.

You don't need to tell the mechanic how to do his job. All you can do is cause more problems trying to tell him what to check or do.

You can come back and ask for advice once the mechanic give you options but let him tell you what needs to be done.
