Help! Chrysler Concord died while driving. Won't start! Sign In

Hi, If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I have a chrysler concord, 95 with v6 engine and 95K miles. I was driving today and accelerating up to about 35 miles per hour. I had been driving today and everyday with no problems. No shaking, no noises, no weird smells, and a perfectly quiet engine. Suddenly, I start to lose acceleration, gas pedal stiffens and drops to floor, steering wheel becomes stiff, and oil light & cruise control light comes on. I pull over right away. Car will not start again. Check oil, it is very low. Get a tow, after the tow, the tow bed has oil all over it. Then I add oil, car still won't start. It tries to start but it never turns over, it stops right before turning over. Please let me know if you have any idea what is wrong. thank you

Arggh! Are you sure the oil on the tow truck bed was yours? How much oil did you have to add to be back so the full mark?

Does the engine crank or not? The term "turn over" means different things to different folks,
