Headlight bulb on a 1999 nissan sentra GXE Sign In
I changed the headlight bulb on my 1999 Sentra GXE and went to check it after I completed and the hi beam light on the dash will not go off now and When I do activate the hi beams the bulb I changed goes dim.

Is it a H7 globe? (2 pin) You may have installed it the wrong way round. But this still doesn't explain the high beam light on the dash...Let me look into it more.Unsure

Check and make sure that it's the correct bulb type. The manual that came with mine was the stock '99 Sentra manual and the bulb they listed was *not* the correct one. When I installed it, the low beam was brighter than the high beam.

After several hours of 'WTF!?', I finally noticed that the old bulb was a different part number than what the manual stated (and I had installed). A quick visit to the part store to get the *correct* model and my headlights work like they're supposed to.
