2000 Dodge Neon - when I rapidly accelerate there is a "stutter" in the shifting (automatic in regular drive). If I ease on the gas pedal I do not feel any hesitation. The car acts "iffy" in both 1st and 2nd. Could this be the fuel pump? This jolty "stutter" happens whether I am going from 10-30 mph or 30-60. (Or any other speed). Once the "stutter" starts I have to release gas pedal and ease back into the speed I want.

Any MIL (malfunction indicator light) lights on, such as a check engine or service engine soon light? If so have it scanned, Most autoparts stores will read the codes for free. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

p1684 Is saying the battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts, and p1899 is saying that the P/N switch stuck in park or in gear. This kinda sounds like a bad connection somewhere causing the PCM to loose power, this will cause the problem your stating. I'm sure someone else here will have more detailed information for you. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!
