Fuel system noise Sign In

Anybody know what would cause a pulsating noise/vibration thru the entire fuel line?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcEuhpQ4isk

The fuel lines(feed, return, evaporation) go through the door sill on the driver's side. You can hear this sound in the cabin. It sounds like the vid at 750rpms, and the sound rate increases as the rpms go up. But the sound goes away once the clutch is engaged. I used the stethoscope and I can hear this sound only on the fuel lines along from the engine, all the way to the fuel tank. When I touch the lines, I can also feel the pulsation. Please help. Thanks

Lines may not be mounted properly. Why isn't this a warranty concern?

Re: Fuel system noise Sign In

I think I found the culprit. There is this device that looks like a pressure regulator along the fuel lines, but called a pressure damper valve in the manual. This device regulates the pressure vibrations caused by the fuel pump and injectors. I also hear that this does not regulate actual fuel pressure, so that explains why the car runs perfectly fine.

What do you guys think?
