Front end clunk during braking

I have a 1991 escort pony 1.9L SOHC. I recently replaced the clutch and the rear transmission mount. I now receive a heavy single clunk at the point of the most downforce on the front of the car during braking. I am unable to fine the culprit or exactally pinpoint the source. I seems like it is right behind the firewall under the pedal region because I can feel the impact through the accelerator or brake pedal. Any help would e appreciated.
