Freelander head gasket

Hello Everyone, the head gasket on my 02 Freelander has failed (a common problem it seems!) and I am in two minds as to whether to get it repaired or try to sell it in its present state. I have been quoted £800 for the repair and the car is probably worth around 2K2. Am I likely to be able to sell as it is and are there any sites where I can advertise it hoping mechanics or trade can see it?
Would very much appreciate your advice.

Guess I'd ask the shop that gave you the quote for the fix. You need to say your rough location for any help. Only thing we could guess from the post is you used the Brittish pound symbol and the UK is a large area of places last I checked,
