Hi I have a ford focus 2001 I have noticed today that when I hold the revs at 2.1 the gage moves up and down slightly and so does the power of the engine anyone have any ideas what it could be I was thinking coil pack but I have no engine light on

Scary this thing is now 19 model years old and still should have full OBDII controls. Get code readings and look for ones pending if you get no results or "not ready" need a better reader than you have or have access to there's something pending to help.

Guess is today's game (inside thing) it has a violation of air intake parts such that unmetered air is getting in. Check all ductwork for air intake just anyway that it's intact and all in place,

That changes the game. BTW, just look for the plain "reply" I/we shouldn't need a copy can scroll.
With that now I'd see if clutch "dipping" I take means pushing it down/released ISN'T releasing? Car may roll still and be hard to shift. Suggests (most are hydraulic) low fluid but need to find out why or just failure in master or slave cylinder.

You can probably see things move even engine off with a helper pushing on it what is or isn't going on that should.
I'm not sure how this relates to idle would confuse ECM to hold a steady idle but also if dragging and you don't get this fixed ASAP will destroy the clutch and still need the repair so don't wait,
