Fixing Honda Under Panel Sign In

I have a question regarding the front under panel (under tray) of the honda. I'm not sure what it is called, but it is the rubbery thing attached under the bumper that prevents dirt from the road to go up to the engine.

Can you reattach that big rubber thing?

It got caught on the parking stop when I was getting into the parking slot (front first) and there was a big sound when I backed up. When I examined it, the rubber part on the driver side was hanging down on the ground.

Is it possible to reattach it yourself (can you just slip or clip it back on), do you need to bring it to a shop, or do you need to buy a new one?

I drive a Honda City, which I believe is only available in Asia. But I think the part looks similar to those in other Honda models like Civic or Jazz.

Thanks for the help.

That just depends on how badly it's damaged. They get ripped and torn off. You also may need new plastic retainers that hold it on. You can get a new one from the dealer. They aren't that expensive.

You know those freaking parking things are wrecking more air dams that I can count. That is there for a reason (the dam) not just good looks. If the world wants cars that are efficient they become lower in the front and the dam forces air to flow better thru the grille. Those freaking parking things should be outlawed!

Thanks for the help.

I'm bringing it to a friend's garage who can lift it up so we can assess. Hopefully it can just be put back on.
