Fibreglass on radiator leak???

Fibreglass on radiator leak???

1.6 L
I've got a leaky radiator and I've put a few layers of fibreglass on the leak. It's a plastic radiator so JB weld won't work. The leak is right on the seam where the core connects with the column. Will it hold the pressure, or is this another band aid fix. If anyone could give any insight if this will work or if someone has even tried it themselves it would be greatly appreciated.

Dave; Unfortunately, these newer radiators that have the plastic tanks are no longer repairable. Disposable. Sorry.

Too much expansion and contraction, not enough adhesion.

I have had tanks replaced on many plastic composite radiators . The shop i used for years said as long as no more than 2 holdown tabes in a row broke it was a canidate for repair . never had a repeat failure . its a good option to consider with the price of some of these jems.

So the fibreglass seems to be holding up, its the first day and i have been able to drive to work with no problem. i'm hoping the repair keeps until i have the new radiator i ordered. im very surprised that i made it.
