Elecrical Power Steering, or not> Sign In

I have a 94 Galant S, SHOC. I want to replace the spark plug wires, and am on a tight budget. I found some new ones on eBay for a good price, but it says they are for a vehicle with elecrical power steering. I checked the Checker website and found the Autolight ones like the ones on eBay, and they had two choices, one for electronic power steering, and one for without. I thought that the fact that I have a fluid resivior means I don't, but wasn't sure, so I called Checker and Autozone, and the guys I talked to at both said they wern't sure.
So I guess my question is, How can you tell? Does elecrical mean that it's an elecric motor driving it, or is it to do with the switching (that's what the guy at Checker thought it might be)?

there would only be an electrical assist to the mechanical/hydraulic system other wise if your car stalled/died you wouldnt have steering.

my guess as two why there are two options is for the electrical power steering componant would cause a misfire if too close to the plug wires.

try searching for a vin decoder online or something or researching your cars option packages

Thank you for your help. Just wanted to let you know, I finally was able to get ahold of my younger brother who is an ANSI certified auto tech, and he told me that the thing to lok for is if the pump is driven by belt, or by electric motor. Not what I wanted to hear, of course, as this means I'll have to buy the more expensive set, but it's better to find out the easy way.
