Drove through flood

Was driving 2000 VW Beetle and a flash flood occured. Water came up about a foot. Car stalled, but electrical still works (radio, lights). Been 3 hours since it stopped rainiing but car won't start. Help please!!!

Expect a host of problems in addition to not running that will show up with time. Did it draw water into the intake? Does it even crank right now? If so the mechanical engine may be fine and the sudden dunk of cold water on warm or hot electrical items would fail first. Does it have spark if it cranks and check for water in the oil. If not too bad you have to act quicly to minimize damage,
