1987 Honda Civic
4-door sedan
Automatic transmission

Damage from accident: bent control arm, bent rim (driver's side front wheel), minor body damage.

One of the axles is in bad shape; I was due to replace that within a year or so.

Has been in excellent running condition except for a little trouble starting on cold mornings... Need to give it some gas while turning the key, and need to let it warm up very thoroughly before driving.

Exterior, apart from the accident damage, is in mediocre condition (minor dings, and the paint is oxidizing a little). Interior is in good condition.

Is this worth trying to sell, or should I just give it to one of those "donate your car, running or not" charities? If I do try to sell it, what kind of price should I put on it?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

Everything has a value to someone....i mean what means nothing to you may mean something to me...visa/versa...

it doesn't sound like its worth too much in this condition...
costly to repair unless you go to a u-pull it salvage yard to get the parts....maybe you can find some young guy to buy it thats looking for a fixer upper type vehicle to learn on.....was i was young and wanting to learn the business/trade,i would pick up vehicles for cheap or next to nothing and tear into 'em just to learn about 'em.
if you tried to junk it you probably wouldn't get more than $25.00/$50.00 bucks for it...around here.illinois,if you can drive 'em into the junk yard you can get more...usually $100.00 sometimes more....but this being banged up and 20 years old ain't gona help.

it would make you feel good to donate it ...but $25.00 would make you feel even better.LaughSmileWink

I had honda civic that was a 94 ,wasn't in best shape. Most of its problems parts worn out. I put a 4-sale sign in the window w/phone #, by the end of the week at my surprise I was made an offer of $1500. One man's junk is another man's treasure. You got a HONDA and gas is high.
