Well when I put my car in either; OD, D, 2, or R, when I give it gas my motor just REVS, and the speedometer moves with the TACH, and revs up aswell. Is my tranny blow? If I put it in Park, I have to push down my e-brake otherwise the car will roll. If the car is not all the way reved down, and you put it in park I hear I awfull grinding noise, which I think it coming from the front passenger side. Thanks in advance, hope you can Help Also if I hold down the brake while the car is in park and give it gas the tach only moves and not the speedo........what could it be? CV joints? Tranny? Axle? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN NEED

What kind of car is this? Sounds like an output/driveshaft is turning but not making a wheel turn like striped out splines at a hub - haven't seen something like that in mega ages. It's not even the likely problem but can you see a shaft turning even at the outer wheel (don't get in the way of this car) with a helper or look at a shaft turning but not moving a wheel? If so - I would think there would have been some wild symptoms before now,
