Damaged Cloth Seat in 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe Sign In

Hi,

I am new to this forum and am hoping that someone out there can help me with an issue. I have a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe that I purchased from a CarMax in my area about two years ago. The car has never had any mechanical issues, but there are some "cosmetic" issues I am trying to resolve. The biggest issue is that the previous owner did some minor damage to the back seat, and there is a small but noticeable patch of worn fabric in the seat. The interior upholstery in the vehicle is a light gray color. For some reason, the patch of damaged fabric is a dark blueish color and is worn. I was hoping that someone could give me some good advice on how to repair the damaged patch on the seat without spending an exorbitant amount of money. I see tons of auto upholstery repair kits advertised on the Internet, but am skeptical about most of them. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

- Jim

P.S. I can post pictures of the damaged seat fabric, if it would help.

Jim; I know a lot of those are just covers that are replaceable. You may want to search wrecking yards or even the dealer. Some even have a zipper.

To add....

Here in my state we have a company that comes out and repairs interiors, seats, carpeting ,etc...
They do quality work ....
Did all of our used cars at the dealers.

Don't know if they have a franchise in your area or not but worth a look ....
Maybe a similar company in your area..
