What actions should I take before starting it to avoid any damage to the engine and/or other parts. Check all fluid levels, charge battery as it may have lost some juice. Don't crank too long at a time without letting starter cool down if it doesn't start right up. Gas may have evaporated some and it may take a few tries. If it was outdoors be real careful of brakes. Make sure you have a good pedal feel as it may not stop so well right away. It would be good to give it a run and use up that gas and get fresh gas and some solvent -- just a little -- to help prevent any old fuel problems. Again, 5 months isn't all that long.
