My 1985 corolla hatch back 1.3 litre 2e engine is causing me trouble,
I recently got it towed to a mechanic after finding the car had no spark i had already replaced the coil but he said he had rewired the coil he had replaced the condenser and redone the timing on the car which seemed to have it running perfect when I took it for a drive until literally 20 minutes into driving it starts becoming weak and jumpy on the accelerator as if it is misfiring it then got to the point where I had to pull over and it turned off when I was at about 15kms it then cranks for ages then started roughly i drove it for a good 500 metres for it to die again where I have toed it back to my home at the same place I started any help is appreciated FYI the exact same issue happened before I took it to a mechanic

Can't be sure without doing some testing. See what your mechanic comes up with.
