Computer problem? Brakes grab and lock

We have a 2002 Buick Rendesvous, 75,000 miles, front wheel drive, 6 cylinder. The brakes grab and "lock" when slowing down or starting to move forward. First "Traction Active" light came on and now "Service Traction System" light is on. No one seems to know what the problem is even after checking with computer. Any ideas?

They haven't checked the right computer yet. The traction Control module requires some special equipment to read. A code reader won't do it.
