Clunk in the trunk when I back up - help! Sign In

When I back up, there is a clunking noise coming from the back of my car. It sounds like it happens every time the wheels rotate (because when I go fast it speeds up, and is slower when I slow down).
Everything else seems normal, but I think there's something wrong - any ideas?
Thanks!!!!

RIGHT NOW! Make sure wheels are properly tightened! It can sound like that right before one let's go from being loose. Check that first - then if not that we can go from there............

If you have rear rotors instead of drums for your braking system, you may have warped rotors. But you would also feel it on your braking pedal and perhaps your steering wheel. Definitely get it checked out before it becomes more expensive down the road.
