Cig. Lighter no longer working. help?

On my 2002 Alero my cig lighter is no longer working. i use it mainly to charge my ipod and use my ipod adaptor but it has not been working for the past two weeks. what should i do?

Start with checking the fuse.
Accessories plugged into the lighter can/will blow the fuse.
Fuse # 34
