Chrysler Town/Country P1494, P1495, P0500 error codes (bad PCM?) Sign In

Chrysler Town and Country 2001 80K 3.8L

I originally posted a note (that I have closed) about the automatic shutdown relay yesterday.

Last week I got an OBD code of 1494 (leak detection pump). Just replaced that part but that didn't allow me to reset the engine light. Then I started to run into other problems.

When the ignition is turned off and then wait a couple hours, the Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD) is still warm. Eventually the battery gets drained (24 hours) unless the engine is started before that happens. Before the battery is drained, if you remove one of the battery cables, the ASD clicks numerous times.

The engine light is still on as well and it is now spitting out two error codes: P1495 (auxilliary emissions problem) and P0500 (vehicle speed sensor). As I was taking the van to the auto parts place to get an OBD reading, I noticed that the speedometer is no longer working (hence the P0500 code). Worked yesterday. A lookup on the P1495 says that there may be an issue with the solenoid control circuit. I would believe that if it wasn't for the speedometer crapping out.

Could I possibly be dealing with a faulty PCM?

Thanks,

Kevin

Not a very helpful reply, but misery loves company:

Chrysler Voyager 2001. Just put in a replacement PCM. (old PCM had P0601, Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error = dead PCM)

After startup, I'm getting 1 code: P1495, Leak Detection Pump Solenoid Circuit.

Am finding reports online of experienced folk looking for the solenoid where it should be, finding it missing, replacing the PCM and code going away.
