2000 Chevrolet Blazer I do not know engine size... just over 20000 miles (great stuff i know!) I put gas in my blazer and I started it up and it immediately died. This has never happened before. I started it up again and it worked but I am nervous to turn it off in fear of getting stuck somewhere. Have always been up to date with check ups and have always taken awesome care of the car... Any advice?

Check engine light on? Unless it doesn't start again, can't really figure out what is going on. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

With DS as usual. If no codes this could have just been a vehicle brain phart. Have you motor club towing up to date and just drive it as it may not happen again and you wont know if you don't. I hear you and same with techs - once bitten, twice shy type of thing especially if there's nothing to find wrong. Nobody wants to get stuck out there. What does happen in about exactly the time it takes to get fuel is heat rises in the engine while off for a short while and might have confused it and that could be all it was.............. T

Check fuel pump voltage and the pump itself

jamie, it would do no good to do voltage tests and pressure tests on a truck that is running well. Those are the tests you do when it isn't running or is running badly.
