Chevy 468 Distributor Cap Failure?

Chevy 468 Distributor Cap Failure? Sign In
I sold a camaro to a guy that has a 468 crate
motor with a MSD Probillet Distributor. The
distributor cap shattered on him while he
was playing with the car and then he replaced
it and it popped off again.

He says he made sure the the cap hold downs
were tight? What could be the problem?
