Chevrolet Suburban steering issue

I have a stock 2000 Suburban 4x4. I am having a problem with the steering. It turns left with no problems. When I turn right at low speeds or at a stop, it feels like the power steering is not working at all. The vehicle has about 120k on it and the problem has just started to happen in the last week. Can the power steering fluid be flushed on this vehicle and would it help? Any ideas or input would be appriciated.
