I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee 6cylinder with a check engine light on, i got it that it is code 24. What does that mean and how to i fix it?

Code 24 is for the throttle position sensor. Has anyone 'messed' with the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body? It isn't really for idle speed adjustment, but.... You can check the TPS with a DVOM. Slow sweeps, from closed to wide open throttle, look for glitches in the resistance readings. This could cause idle quality and trans. shifting problems.
