I have a 1986 Fullsize Chevy K5 Blazer with a 5.0 V8. I ordered a new carb for it but they sent the wrong one, The one I took off was a M4ME and the one they sent was a M4MC, they are identical except the original had a electrical plug on the left front of the carb. My question is will it work anyway, or do I have to wait for the original type.

That electric connector went to a main metering system (I think) that could adjust mixture ratio a bit faster than plain mechanically. Those were expensive gizmos in the last of the quadrajets to make them pass minute emissions before carbs just gave up for fuel injection.
There should be a substantial price difference between the two types! If you have the exact fit with all hookups for linkage and choke (pay attention to that) then the non electric one would actually be more servicable IMO and I'd take it but pay less for that one. Your call but if mine I'd rather the mechanical one and just leave the plug tied out of the way. May not technically be legal in some places to do that at all,
