Search Auto Parts Search Car wont start Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Car Troubleshooting Guest Anonymous Poster steelersfan59@gmail.com Dec 26, 2007, 6:23 PM Post #1 of 5 (1518 views) Car wont start Sign In I will try to be as clear as possible not a mechanic by any means.O.K. we returned home from Christmas trip my work car set in the garage the whole time we were gone a total of 4 days.As far as I know I left nothing on in the car,Got up today tried to start car and it refused.The motor will not crank at all but I have lights,door open chimes etc, and I get a clicking noise when key is turned to crank motor.After several attempts lights go dim but come back full strength after sitting awhile. The car is a 93 Saturn SL1 4CYL ohc. If you can, more than likely the battery is too low to start the car. It lights the lights due to the low current needed for small lights. Also look closely at the cables for corrosion. Make sure the connections on both ends of the cables are clean and tight.
