Hello, to start i'm not a car type of guy, I don't know anything about cars, and what the proper terms so bare with me here ^^
I have a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300E ... I have no idea what the engine size is or how to find that out. it has about 206,000km on it right now
So here's the problem;
About 2 weeks ago I was coming out of the parking lot and the car just stopped as I was slowing down. I had to turn the car back on, and while switching to drive it would turn off. So in order to go I had to hold the break down with one foot, press the gas with the other foot and change to Drive really quick. Every time i had to stop I had to do the same thing.
I took the car to a local shop and for the first day they found nothing wrong with the car, I took it back and after about an hour it acted up again. I took it back and they kept it for about 3 days, after calling back they said they could not figure out what was wrong, they said they looked on some websites and called around but nothing. The guy at the shop told me they turned off the idle control or something like that... Anyways that worked for a few days and all was well. but it has been acting up again.
So does anyone know what could be wrong? do you need more info, I could try and give it to you, but again im not a car person.
