2003 Nissan Sentra 1.8L GXE. While driving, the car will shut down abruptly and wont start. All electrical and lights are good. After leaving it for approx 45 minutes, it starts and drivable. A mechanic over the phone told me it may need another fuel pump. Any ideas or should I just go and buy another pump, Watch a youtube video and just do it?

NO - Find out what is wrong and fix that not what someone said over a phone call without diagnosing it. Get codes and follow this for what's wrong if it cranks but doesn't start, http://autoforums.carjunky.com/...LL_NOT_START_P75655/ Anything less is just a crap shoot, T

If you were talking to a doctor on the phone because you had a pain in your back and the doctor said you needed a kidney, would you go and have the operation done or would you go and be tested to be sure the kidney is the actual culprit? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
