I have a 1991 Camaro 305ci RS Mileage: Replacement engine, approx. 6000 miles I had been loosing water slowly but I could not identify the leak. My AC died in an instant. I began loosing large amounts of water at every prolonged stop. I can see steam escaping at the rear of the engine. block. The steam is coming from below the distributor which as located directly behind the air filter. I can not get a visual on the exact spot. Can you give me an idea of my problem may be

It could be a leak in the intake manifold gasket, a hose or even a freeze plug on the back of the head. You will have to pressure test the system and get a visual on it. Use a mirror if you have to. If you don't stop driving it immediately though, your going to be buying another engine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
