Help!! I have a '02 Chevy Malibu. I just got into my car and started it, got not even a mile down the road and it died on me. I tried to give it gas but it just wouldn't go, then it just died. I have battery power and I didn't run out of gas but that is about all I know. I tried to restart it and it would turn over but it wouldn't catch. I tried to give it gas but nothing happened. I'm way over on my oil change but I checked the oil and it's O.k. Now my car is sittig on the side of the road and I have ot get someone to help me push it somewhere, and somehow get someone to fix it. I know I didn't give you much information but if you have other questions ask and I will do my best to answer them.

How many mile sdo you have on your car and what kind of engine does it have?

I have about 80,000 and I' not sure I guess a 6 cyl if that means anything.

I was thinking that maybe it could be the fuel pump. I have heard people say that they can hear it and I don't have the ear for it but, when I turn it over I hear nothing but the starter.
