If that makes sense. I have a 1995 Crown Vic with the interceptor package, and it's been running fine until last Saturday. The car was idling with the heat and radio on, then I heard a CLUNK noise and the car died ... but the radio and heat were still on. When it started to get cold in the car, then I noticed that the battery light was on. The car acts like it's turning over, it makes the noise like it will start, the radio and everything comes on, I can hear the fuel pump come on ... but it won't start. I had to have it towed back to my house, where it now sits, just waiting on someone to fix it. My only other thought was that it might be the coil packs, or something that's making the ignition not get spark? Any thoughts or suggestions?

? Can you hear the fuel pump or test for spark? Something you could try is (only if exact same ones) swapping the relays which should be marked under the hood. Try the one for A/C (not needed to run) in the EEC spot and the fuel pump spot. Those are somewhat common and cheap even at a dealer! The clunk might have just been some normal sound of the engine shutting down - don't know....... T

easiest way to determine if its a fuel or spark problem is to open up the air filter box and shoot some starting fluid down the intake tube while someone sits in the drivers seat and trys to start. (or if you have a remote starter switch) . if the engine fires, stumbles and dies. then you have a fuel problem if the engine cranks with no difference, then you have a ignition problem __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
