I have a 1993 Chevy Cavalier. This week it starting chugging at low speeds. It acts like it's going to die on us, especially at stop lights, plus it's really hard to get it started. We changed the oil and the fuel and air filters, since they were overdue, but I doubt that will fix the problem. It also smells a little, like burnt rubber. My husband guessed it might be the fuel injectors, but I really don't know. Help on this would be awesome!

wood; Don't overlook the basics; Cap/rotor/plugs/wires. Injector cleaning is a maintenance type item that should be done every 40K miles. Also, various sensors that supply information to the computer for fuel delivery. You may/should
have any trouble codes retrieved. '95 and older vehicles don't have the diagnostic capabilities as the newer cars have, but the trouble codes will get you focused in the proper direction. Most parts stores can retrieve the codes for you at no charge. Just don't let them sell you any parts until we have that info.
