Cannot turn ignition key

1998 Pontiac Sunfire 2.2 auto. cannot turn ignition switch with key. I can rotate column when depressing column lock with screwdriver. How can I replace switch/tumbler if I can't turn it. Is there some other interlock besides shifter button and brake pedal?

The switch/tumbler must be in the ON postion to replace. Your best bet may be to have a mobile locksmith drill it out for you so as not to damage anything. Just a suggestion.
