ok, i just agreed to buy a VL calai.
its a private sale, i had never met the guy, but today, saw him, and the car, n handed over $800 just like that... calling it a "deposit" n every week pay minimum $350 to this guy that i dont know. nothing was signed, i dunno where he lives, n yeah, the car is in perfect condition. its beautiful man. im in F**kin love wit it.
n we agreed to meet every sunday so i can give him the money.
my parents cant know i have done this, but yeah, was it a good idea?
im scared he will F**k me over aye... take my deposit.... all the money i have given him, and do a runner...
but he seemed nice enough.
its 5000 all up. wat u reckon?
want more details bowt the car?

You are nuts! No paperwork, don't know this guy, handed over $$ and your parents can't know about this????!!!!
Who owns this car right now? You should at least know that. Do you have the title to it and the car itself? If not I'd bet you just lost your money and I don't gamble.
Are you even at least 18 years old which is about universally the age you must be to even have a binding agreement.
You are in trouble,

This sounds insane mate. You dont know the guy, and you have handed over $800 already? Have you written up a contract? This is EXACTLY what you need to do. get this guys FULL details. Name, address, and even place he works. Then, go and write yourself up a contract on your computer. Stating you have paid $800 already and your payment plan. Put your name and the guys name on the contract. Then, you and him go to your local police station and both sign in front of a Justice of the peace. This is the only way you will have a leg to stand on if it goes pear shaped. AND, tell your parents what you have done mate. They will kick your butt for being so silly, but at least they know what you're in for.
$5000 for a VL calais seems a bit much too..
