CV axle I need doesn't exist? Can't find it anywhere! Sign In

I've been to 5 auto parts stores, all of which looked up my car and sold me axle/driveshaft that doesn't fit in my car. I went back to all these places with my old, broken axles, and apparently I have 26 inboard splines and 23 outboard splines, and my car supposedly calls for 25 and 23. Even with this information, the axles they gave me with the correct spline count don't fit due to the size. My transmission is stock. I have a 1987 crx si.

My old axles fit right back in with no problems. Has anybody else experienced this?

Buddy's a mechanic, he confirmed that my splines in te transmission are perfectly fine, and that none of these axles fit.

Tried installing without the c pin, still wouldn't fit.
