(2005 Cadi STS 3.6 v-6 86,000 miles) I was taking a trip and while in route my car started jerking or running with a miss. I noticed a lost of power and rattling in the engine. The check engine light came on. The miss stopped 20 minutes later, but the check engine stayed on. There was no place open that could look at my car. While in route home back 365 mile in to the trip, my car lost power and would not go faster than 50 mph!!!! Need help A.S.A.P.

Adharvi, the first place you may want to go is AutoZone. They should be able to pull codes from the PCM and I think it's free. Don't let them sell you anything or diagnose anything. When they give you the code number(s) write them down and post them back here. You may want to pick up a cheap fuel pressure guage while you're there as this will be needed to test fuel pressure in lbs. I'm sure we'll be needing that info. Steve

Just one word of advise... When any kind of warning light comes on, it really needs to be checked, especially before going on a long trip. Granted some OBD II codes aren't as serious as others but you should really know what you're dealing with before hitting the road and possibly making a bad situation worse........
